NOTE FROM
JULIE: September 18, 2008"Regretfully,
I have decided to not continue on running for Carroll County Supervisor
this year. It was a very hard decision. Currently, I am attending
college full-time at Buena Vista, working at Americorps on an internship
at Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center, working as a waitress on the
weekends, and volunteering in the community. The most important thing in
my life is my family. I thought I could do it all. Unfortunately, I
found out with the primaries that I wasn’t able to give the 110% that is
needed to accomplish what I want to do. Right now, I want to focus on
getting my degree done and spending time with my kids before it is too
late. I will run again but when I can give it my full attention that is
needed to have a successful campaign. Thank you to everyone who believed
in me. " Julie Gore

Technology has advanced in leaps and bounds and we cannot go through a

Why Me as
District 3 Supervisor of
Carroll County?
Those of you that know me, know why. I truly appreciate your confidence
in me and your support! For those of you that don't know me, let me
cover a few points for you so you know why I am very qualified for the
position of Carroll County Supervisor and why voting for me is something
you can do with 100% confidence!
I have lived in Carroll County my entire life -- born in St.
Anthony's hospital, graduated from Carroll High School, graduated from DMACC in Carroll, have always worked in Carroll, and I'm raising my family
in Carroll County! I strongly support and believe in Carroll County
and do not have the desire to move to the "big city" nor seek employment
anywhere else. Carroll is my home. I work here, raise my
family here, buy my groceries here, and want to become more involved in
the decision making of how the county is taken care of.
I have a strong background in accounting, management, customer
service, and community involvement. I make my decisions on issues
only after listening to all sides.
I have always wanted to become more involved in the community and
had decided once my children were grown, I would run for a position within
the city or county. Four years ago, my husband and I purchased an
acreage south of Carroll, which helped me to make my decision between city
or county. :-) Everything happens for a reason! After
researching the position of County Supervisor, and discussing it with family and friends, I feel
the position of County Supervisor is one that life has been preparing me
for. Through the
jobs I have held, my community involvement, the positions I have
volunteered for, and the education I have received, I have been readying
myself for this responsibility without realizing I was doing so. Now
I am ready!
