Stevie's is a fictional coffee shop I created for my senior capstone project. It's named after my childhood pet cat, Stevie, and her personality is throughout the design.
I rescued existing unappealing packaging for Zachary Thin Mints. Using hand written type and nostalgic candy store stripes, I created a feel of sentimentality for long time customers while grabbing the attention of shoppers with bold headlines. I displayed a photo of the candy on the front and sides so that the customer can see what is inside regardless of how the boxes are stacked on shelves.
This was a repurposing project for class. I had ten dollars at the Salvation Army to buy something I could transform and brand. I bought oversized crayons and melted them down into lipsticks which is how I came up to name the brand Melted.
Posters I've designed, many of which for the USM Art and Design Museum. Often having to integrate large amounts of text on a poster that would grab a student or teacher's attention while walking across campus.
This is a 36 page trade journal centered around independent musicians. I have a mixture of feature articles and album reviews with quirky layout but clear organiztional systems.
A 3 poster series showcasing the different marketplaces of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Information Design Book
A small, square 36 page booklet delving into the history of information design. My classmates and I sourced all of the images and wrote all of the information for the booklets. I created a system with color bars and geometric shapes for consistency and ease of legibility.
A few screen caps of fictional websites I designed and coded for class.
